Home is where the heart is

1 more week and i'll be back to my lovely, peaceful KL home..can't wait too see my lovely year-end-sale in MNG, Topshop, Padini, Isetan, Charles & Keith, AIX, Robinsons, Elle, Royal Sporting House etc..mwahaahahaha:D

Kwik Stix Restaurant, North Adelaide

Affiliated with The Concubine Restaurant, British India Restaurant and Messalunga in Chinatown as well as Singapore House (somewhere on the way to Mount Lofty), Kwik Stix has certainly lived up to its expectations with it's unique fusion of homecooked Asian meals (mostly inspired by Malaysia) and thus, making this particular dining outlet a familiar site for both locals and non-locals. Affordable lunch specials are available at 12-2.30pm daily and prompt service ensures you that you won't be late for work..ever:)

Chinese sausage and barbeque pork fried rice, $11.90~not as good as Malaysia's normal fried rice but ok laO.o
Singapore hokkien noodles, $12.90~good sauce base but chicken pieces need to be marinated a lil bit more to hit the right spot:)

Sambal prawn noodles, $13.90~my personal favourite..not too spicy for one's palate yet has a subtle hint of sambal coating the hor fun noodles:)

Other recommended fares:

1. Curry chicken

2. Ayam Panggang (Roast chicken)

3. Salt and pepper squid (highly recommended:D)

4. Tasty pork

5. Singapore chilli seafood

6. Duck with plum sauce

If all of the above does not suit your palate, do have a chat with the manager (i trust his taste:). Prices are really similar to chinatown prices but the food quality's heaps better so do check it out:))

Nanyang, Renaissance Arcade, Rundle Mall

Penang inspired lunch outlet owned by Malaysians-turned-Australians, opened just early this year. Although not all the ala carte dishes have that malaysia-truly-asia taste, there are a few dishes that I can confidently deem money-worthy:)

Penang prawn noodles, $8~~authentic tasting despite the chicken pieces floating around cluelessly in the broth:)

Roast duck with wanton noodles, $12~~noodles are a tad too sticky for me (which was probably why i drowned my noodles in pickled chilli slices). Duck's good although the meat portion varies..to bone or not to bone, that is the question:p

Last but not least, a picture I promised from my previous post:

Included with any purchase for a limited amount; nail polish, red top (worth $30), Givenchy sample perfume, dry shampoo (??)

Event was on 18th November at 4-7pm and me sooo happy to be receive the free goodie bag..love love love
