After what felt like a couple of weeks of clean eating, it was only appropriate to allow myself the joy of indulging into something sinister. Munching on kale with a side of steamed chicken breast along with a few other types of veggies can feel pretty repetitive and it is important to constantly keep oneself motivated in the kitchen else all that hard work would be wasted froma boiling urge to binge eat.
Stumbled upon this place by luck on Sunday after an intensive gym session and decided why not - after all, I have saved up on my calorie intake, yes?:) Retro interior fancying a laid back joint feel, bordering a hipster like ambiance as well - vibrant colour displays on the walls meets wooden benches and table tops. Definitely interesting.
One thing I did note whilst browsing the menu was that 99% of the menu consisted of beef patties and only one option available for the vegetarians. You have be warned, non-beef consumer.
KSA - beef patty, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, mustard and special sauce on brioche bun. Patty was extremely juicy and seasoned well. May seem like a normal cheeseburger but don't be fooled - that buttery, fragrant brioche bun gave the burger a lot more flavour dept as opposed to an ordinary bun.
Francis underwood - beef patty, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, mac & cheese croquette. mustard, special sauce on brioche bun. The only difference between this and the KSA burger is the addition of a sinful piece of cheesy, oozing croquette. Loved the incorporation of it in this burger and cannot fault this burger in terms of taste. At $17.50, it is definitely not cheap, knowing that there are other much more affordable places around but you do get quality for your buck.
Beer battered chips - crisp and not overly salted. Can't turn down a good chip at all.
Onion rings - Cooked perfectly aka crisp on the outside and softened up slightly in the middle. Would gladly have finished this myself (and possibly ordered a waffle stack) but perhaps on a separate trip:)
