Kafe Karizma, Glen Waverley, MELB

Goodbye autumn, hello cold, rainy winter days. Basically, this summed up yesterday to me. The constant drizzle had deterred me from my regular run around the block and probably had me moving slower in the morning that normal. Not that I minded at all but when there's an assignment deadline to be met, I have got to make a move.

Which lead me to wonder where can I munch at, preferably nearby. Realized I have lived in the same apartment for close to two years and have never been here before nor knew of it's existence. Time to make appropriate amendments, ey?;)

Freshly squeezed orange juice ~ 100% freshly prepared upon order. Much needed boost of vitamin C.

Cappuccino ~ a pretty comforting cuppa that somehow soothed my nerves that morning and warmed my fingers.

Eggs benedict ~ eggs were perfectly poached and given a good drizzle of hollandaise sauce. Overall, a good feed that is packed with protein to kickstart the day.

Sweet potato, taro and kale fritter with poached egg, avocado and smoked salmon ~ these days, I am a sucker for anything with avocado in it - bonus if there's more greens on the plate. Fritter had a paprika/ spiced taste to it which was surprisingly pleasant. Wouldn't mind having this again on my next visit:)

Overall, service was friendly and attentive, good food and convenient/ serene ambiance, I would not mind making this future study spot.

Ooo, I think I've been to this one when visiting the Melbourne office last year.

P.S. You've been so dedicated to your food blog. Decided to give you a reward comment :P
